Vertiports for Urban Air Mobility
As take-off and landing points for air taxis, vertiports are the central link between air and ground transport.
About the VERTIFIED project
The DLR project VERTIFIED (Vertiport Research Infrastructure for Innovation Exploration and Demonstration) deals with the conceptual development, construction and validation of vertiports. The focus is on two areas of application: vertiports in urban areas and vertiports at airports. At the National Test Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, two real technology demonstrators for vertiports are being built on a 1:1 scale so that they can be used for flight tests under realistic conditions.
